Market Musicians

Our market welcomes musical acts that are family-friendly and add to the upbeat market environment. There are two types of market performances at FMO: Featured Musicians and Busking, both play for tips. To be a featured musician please contact Sarah Byrd at Manager@LoveYourFarmer.com.

Our featured musicians will be located in a prime location of market and the musician is paid through a generous music sponsorship from Hilton Garden Inn Hotel.  The other type of performance found at FMO is busking, which requires the musician to show up the day of market and play acoustically.  Buskers should come to the Market Hub to find the Manager; if there is a location available the Manager will show the musician where to set-up.

FMO Music Guidelines
1.) Acoustic is always preferred
2.) Buskers must check-in with the Manager and perform in the location the Manager assigns
3.) Music must not interfere with conversations at market
4.) Musicians can ask for tips and sell music merchandise

Chefs Incentives

We are proud of the local food movement in the Ozarks, which is supported by the best restaurants in Springfield, MO.  Our local chefs have worked to tailor their menus with the seasons for our farmers and continue to showcase our vendors on menus across 417 land.

Our chefs make FMO a weekly stop on Thursdays and Saturdays not only to purchase direct from our farmers, but to build a relationship with their community. We are happy to help assist with the education of the seasons and are glad to make introductions between our growers and local chefs.

For this FMO provides the following incentives to chefs purchasing at FMO:
1.)    Assisting in finding farm products and specific vendors
2.)    Special carry-out services
3.)    Participating in the annual June and October FMO Farm to Table Dinners
4.)    Cooking classes and demonstrations at market that help promote seasonal products and the local restaurant

Nonprofit Vendors

Our market provides a small amount of space for non-profit organizations to do outreach at market on a space availability basis.  Non-profits are provided with a tent and table, but responsible for setting up and tearing down their booth and tent.

Examples of organizations that vend at market include: MU Extension, local food banks, foster children programs, Springfield Urban Ag Coalition, high school exchange programs, universities and college programs, environmental groups and children programs.

Non-profits cannot fundraise or sell products and space is limited, therefore organizations are encouraged to schedule in advance. If you are interested in space, please contact Manager Sarah Byrd at Manager@LoveYourFarmer.com.  Each organization will pay $10 for each day vending at market.

Be a Sponsor

Join our market community and show your support for local foods and FMO by becoming a Corporate FMO Sponsor or a Local Business Sponsor.  FMO is a 501c3 nonprofit organization who’s mission is to “operate a vibrant farmers market that contributes to the success of local food growers and producers, strengthens the local food economy and serves as a community gathering place for the Ozarks region.”

Corporate Business Sponsorships are developed to highlight corporate businesses and donors to the market’s mission.  Each package is tailored to highlight the sponsor as a supporter of FMO, its vendors and educational fund. These sponsors will be given the opportunity to showcase their business at four market days throughout the year, plus a number of other incentives.

Local Business Sponsorships are $350 each to be a vendor on a Thursday or Saturday market and will be given the opportunity to promote their business to our thousands of market customers.
